We’re all still swooning over the (perfect) wedding of @oliviarink and Conner Hempel. Every detail, literally everything, was pure perfection (Invitations, florals, décor, vibe, glassware…you get the point). But wait for it—turns out Olivia loves  Adrianna Papell. And, she values family time as much as we do (We’re a family biz, after all).

So, we got to spend a pre-wedding girls’ day in our showroom with Olivia Rink and her amazing mom + sis. Um, dream job?  We had an all-day style session, tried on all kinds of dresses, toasted everything and laughed a LOT.

Here’s our recap of the event’s most stunning style moments, plus a few details on our dream day with Olivia Rink and her family.

THE BRIDAL PARTY X ADRIANA PAPELL

Not gonna lie. We were beyond honored to find out that Olivia would be dressing her bridal party, including Mom, her sister her incredibly chic Grandma, Nani and ALL her bridesmaids in @adriannapapell! Beyond. Which leads us to…

GIRLS’ DAY IN!

A definite highlight of the year. Olivia Rink brought her Mom and her sister Elena to our showroom and NYC office to try on dresses, browse our new collections, toast to Olivia’s wedding, take some down time, and just have fun.

THE BACHELORETTE, BEYOND

A rented cottage + all her besties, overlooking a lake, in a town scattered with local wineries, a great mini food scene, and beautiful beaches. Also, a playlist curated by sis, Elena, (Ariana, Britney, obvs), a private chef, and easy, flowy dresses 24/7!

THE WEDDING INVITATIONS, ICONIC

Individually hand-pressed and designed on exquisite paper—the old-school way. By @bellafigura. SO elevated and elegant..

THE WEDDING VENUE, HISTORIC

The extraordinary ballroom of the Palais Royale in Olivia Rink’s hometown of South Bend, IN. (1920s-inspired architecture, pure elegance.) Also, 8800 square feet of polished hardwood floors, gold leaf-gilded crystal chandeliers, soaring windows draped in velvet, the original musician’s balcony. Big feelings.

THE MUSIC, DANCE-ALL-NIGHT-WORTHY

Band: The Barnstorm. (They also played at Keegan Michael-Key’s wedding.) Just fun, romantic, happy, upbeat music that gets the evening going.

THE WEDDING BANDS, STUNNING

On Olivia Rink, a classic, shared prong eternity band with brilliant round-cut diamonds. SO chic. On Conner, a simple, yellow gold band (4mm wide if anyone’s shopping).

And, we just can’t end this recap without the proposal story, for us as much for you, TBH:

THE PROPOSAL, PERFECTION

Olivia was just back in NYC after 2 weeks in Europe; Conner mentioned he wanted to celebrate her return with dinner at Terra, the same restaurant where they had their first date (They even sat at the same table). They ended the evening with a drink at one of their fave bar, Macao, and headed home. As we arrived at our apartment, just before he opened the door, Conner bent down and said, “Liv, I have something for you.” He opened the door to reveal and entire room covered in candles + rose petals, with our favorite Frank Sinatra playlist in the background. According to Olivia, she burst into tears and just kept thinking, “IT’S HAPPENING!” They danced, laugh-cried, and then Conner got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. We spent the rest of the night toasting via FaceTime with fam and friends. Olivia had mentioned to Conner that she wished her parents in Kentucky had been able to have celebrated in their moment. Later that evening, Olivia discovered that Conner had arranged for Olivia’s parents to join them. They all spent the weekend together. OK, were we not kidding when we said “perfection?”.

HOW THEY HOLIDAY

The Rink girls know how to celebrate. We were, of course, totally over the 🌙
that Olivia, her mom and her grandmother (Nani) all sparkled in Adrianna Papell hand-sequined dresses last season. We can’t wait to see what they wear this year! Stay tuned.
